Just finished watching this… I have heard about this film for the last 15 or so years, yet have never seen it — an interview with the director piqued my interest, and finding a torrent finally brought it all home (so to speak), since it is a hard find on VHS and no legit DVD (at least in the U.S.)
Not quite sure what to make of it… it IS interesting, and I can see where the comparison to Lynch comes in to play (both directors started out as painters and both have an interest in surrealism, it seems). It seems unfinished to me, like it was just a part of a larger whole.
Oh… they should have stuck with the original title, AMERICAN GOTHIC.

Very unfinished… the audience never figures out why the children- and Dolphin Blue- were killed. And again, why was she a vampire? The world will never know.
American Gothic… pretty sweet. The Reflecting Skin is def a little creepy. Watch for a future blog on the photo in the movie, and how that relates to the title… !
